I wrote that line for myself first. I lost years trying to fit into shapes that were not mine. Into someone else's expectation. Into a conversation. Into a life that looked right from the outside and did not hold me anywhere.
What I learned is that you do not lose your way all at once. You lose it slowly, giving up a little at a time, each time for a reason that sounds reasonable.
On the flap I put a compass, a ship and a clock dial. I pressed them into the leather with heat and pressure, then brought the patina out by hand, until the metal began to look as though it had been somewhere. I did not want them shiny. I wanted them to look like they knew the way.
A compass does not tell you where to go. It only tells you where north is. The rest stays your business.
Brown leather, worked entirely by my hand. Lined in leather. Neodymium magnet closure, fixed strap, worn on the shoulder. Small enough to carry only what matters. Unisex.
One in the world. Cut, stitched and finished by Alexandra, in Arad.
There's no time to be someone you're not.
