I wanted this one small. Small enough that you forget it is in your pocket, or clipped to a belt loop, which is how I carry mine.

It takes the new ID card, a few bank cards, and enough money for a journey - however far you decide to go.

The leather is black. I pressed it myself, with heat and weight, until the pattern stayed in it. The emerald and the royal blue came after.

I was thinking about departures when I made it. About that particular happiness of the morning you set out, when you still do not know what you will find. And about peace, mostly. That was the first thing.

One in the world. When it sells, I do not make it again. Cut, stitched and finished by Alexandra, in Arad.
