The Mask of Courage - Handmade Leather Shoulder Bag, Sculptural Leather Mask

A harsh, deeply conceptual work about the moments when we lack the courage to be ourselves and hide behind appearances to please someone else. On the simple base of a large black leather shoulder bag sits a three-dimensional sculptural mask I built by hand: a facial armour in leather, with patinated metal inserts and a texture that imitates blond hair. Eccentric, and made for the moments of vulnerability and inner searching. Wear art. Once. Forever. Fully lined in fine lamb leather. Cut, stitched and finished by Alexandra, in Arad. One in the world.
